Community Progress

1. Swan Provider Campaign: Key Updates

Throughout August, we introduced major enhancements to the Swan Provider Campaign, designed to improve the participation experience and fuel the expansion of our decentralized computing network.

  • Campaign Extension: The Swan Provider Campaign was extended until September 29, 2024, providing additional time for both new and existing participants to maximize their contributions and rewards.
  • Increased Prize Pool: To encourage broader participation, an additional 200,000 SWAN tokens were added to the prize pool, raising the total rewards for the ECP and FCP campaigns to 420,000 SWAN and 500,000 SWAN, respectively.
  • CP Subsidy Introduction: To reduce barriers for new Computing Providers (CPs), we launched a subsidy program, offering up to 0.001 ETH to cover initialization costs for the first 1,000 eligible CPs.
  • New Dashboard Launch: A state-of-the-art dashboard(https://provider.swanchain.io/overview) was introduced, offering real-time insights, network overviews, detailed CP profiles, and leaderboards, enhancing user experience and network transparency.
  • Reputation System Upgrade: A significant upgrade to our reputation system was initiated, temporarily impacting Fog Computing Provider (FCP) scores and task distribution.

2. Special Giveaways

Collaborated with DappRadar, OKX Wallet, and GALXE for a series of giveaways, offering millions of airdrop points and exclusive rewards to participants, further expanding our community and incentivizing active involvement.

3. Strategic Partnerships & Integrations

August saw the expansion of Swan Chain’s ecosystem through strategic partnerships and integrations, further solidifying our position in the decentralized computing and AI sectors.

  • Kaisar Network: Partnered with Kaisar Network, a DePIN protocol, to aggregate GPU resources, reduce computing costs, and foster AI innovation.
  • IceCreamSwap: Joined forces with IceCreamSwap to enhance decentralized trading opportunities on Swan Chain via their AI-powered DEX aggregator.
  • GT Protocol: Collaborated with GT Protocol to integrate their AI layer for Web3, aiming to onboard 100M users with seamless access to CeFi, DeFi, and NFT markets.
  • DeAgentAI: Integrated with DeAgentAI to enhance decentralized AI capabilities through their AI agent neural network.
  • MemeBridge: Enabled seamless ETH to Swan Chain bridging via MemeBridge, making it easier for users to engage with our Layer 2 network.
  • MyCoralApp: CoralApp has officially integrated with the Swan Chain ecosystem, empowering users to explore and thrive in the Web3 ecosystem through our network.

4. Community Engagement & Events

Our community engagement efforts in August were robust, with various campaigns, contests, and AMA sessions driving active participation and awareness.

Atom Accelerator Race: The winners of the Atom Accelerator Race were announced, celebrating the contributions of our computing providers and innovative builders who have propelled Swan Chain’s ecosystem forward. Check the winner list here.

Discord Referral Contest: We launched Phase 1 of the Swan Chain Discord Referral Contest, incentivizing community members to invite friends and expand our mission airdrop prize pool through a structured points system.

Swan Chain Special Credit Program: Unveiled groundbreaking programs to support developers, startups, and AI innovators, enabling them to leverage Swan Chain’s infrastructure for their Web3 projects. Apply here.

  • FCP Mechanism: Enhanced collateral/release mechanism reduces on-chain operations, cuts gas costs, and boosts task allocation efficiency.
  • Dashboard Improvements: CPs can now view a complete reward list.
  • Reputation System: Redesigned for better accuracy in assessing FCP reliability, improving task distribution and user deployment experience.

SWAN SDK

  • Python SDK: Streamlined operations for improved developer experience.
  • Go SDK: Launched Beta version, enabling task deployment monitoring.

SWAN Console

  • Beta Release: Developers can monitor all tasks deployed via SDK, with more features coming soon.

SWAN Provider Dashboard:

  • Dashboard Launch: Launched the new SWAN Provider Dashboard, offering a comprehensive view of global CP metrics, Swan Chain data, and resource utilization trends.
  • Profile Access: CPs can access detailed personal profiles, global performance rankings, earnings analytics, account operation incentives, and historical income data.
  • Collateral Integration: Integrated ECP and FCP collateral and top-up functionalities directly within the dashboard interface.
  • Real-time Rankings: Implemented real-time leaderboard rankings for CPs during Swan mainnet events.

Computing Provider

  • Resource Exporter Upgrade: Enhanced the resource-exporter plugin to reduce issues with intermittent GPU resource collection by some CPs.
  • FCP Compatibility: Improved compatibility for FCPs using Dockerfile for building and deploying Kubernetes clusters based on Docker and Containerd, enhancing adaptability across different CP environments.
  • Task Efficiency: Implemented jobUUID as a unique identifier for tasks, improving FCP resource utilization and supporting the deployment of multiple application replicas by a single CP.
  • Resource Release Optimization: Refined the logic for releasing CP resources, reducing idle resource occupation, enhancing resource utilization, and increasing CP earning time.
  • Application Deployment: Optimized the request parameters and format requirements for CPs to better support application deployment through the Swan SDK.
  • DCC Order Support: Enhanced support for DCC order deployments, ensuring better security for user data and applications.

Lagrange

  • Space Duration: Removed the space duration limit, allowing users to deploy spaces for over 14 days, reducing the need for frequent renewals.
  • Payment Flow Optimization: Improved the payment process during space deployment and renewal, with the system automatically checking if the current allowance balance is sufficient and skipping the approval process when possible, reducing gas consumption.
  • Hardware Availability Display: Added real-time display of available hardware in the Lagrange hardware list.
  • Payment Validation: Introduced automatic calculations of the required payment during space deployment, ensuring that users have sufficient balance to complete the process.

ZK Engine & ZK Sequencer

  • Enhanced Trust Mechanism: Enabled CPs to use worker address and block number for signature verification, strengthening the trust mechanism between CPs and the ZK engine.
  • Reward Distribution Optimization: Refined the CP reward distribution mechanism to reduce overall gas consumption across the network.
